Congressman Alan Nunnelee
Endorses Chip Wood for MS House

CORINTH – Congressman Alan Nunnelee of Mississippi’s 1st Congressional District has announced his endorsement of Corinth Alderman Chip Wood in his campaign for Mississippi House in District 2.

“Alcorn County needs a strong voice in the State Legislature and Chip understands how important this is,” Nunnelee said. “As a two-term Corinth Alderman and Mayor Pro Tem, Chip has consistently provided disciplined, conservative leadership. His experience serving the people of Alcorn County and the sacrifices he made while serving his country in Afghanistan prove that he is a Patriot and a leader. Chip is uniquely qualified to continue that spirit of service in Jackson. I am encouraged that a Veteran like Chip has decided to run for Mississippi’s 2nd District House seat and am honored to be able to endorse his candidacy,” said Nunnelee.

Chip Wood, the Republican candidate, graciously accepted Congressman Nunnelee’s endorsement. “I am honored and thankful for the Congressman’s endorsement,” Wood said. “The people of Alcorn County demand that our government cut wasteful spending and live within our means. That’s what regular folks have to do each and every day. It’s time we had leaders who get it in Jackson. Our families can’t afford to trust the big-money trial lawyers with our future.”

Coordinated with Chip Wood, candidate for MS House District 2.
