Gov. Bryant and MSGOP Chairman Nosef Lead Unity Rally Supporting Trent Kelly

At a unity rally yesterday in Tupelo, Trent Kelly, Republican candidate to replace the late Alan Nunnelee in Congress, received endorsements from Governor Phil Bryant, MSGOP Chairman Joe Nosef, and Republican candidates who Kelly defeated to make the June 2 runoff against Democrat Walter Zinn.

Kelly, from Saltillo, currently serves as District Attorney for the 1st Circuit Judicial District (Lee, Pontotoc, Alcorn, Monroe, Itawamba, Prentiss, and Tishomingo Counties). Before serving as District Attorney, Kelly was Tupelo’s City Prosecutor. Kelly has served 29 years in the Mississippi Army National Guard, currently serving as a Colonel. Kelly has been deployed to Iraq twice and has been awarded two Bronze Stars, the Combat Action Badge, the DeFlurry Medal, and numerous other federal and state awards.
